Czech College Courses for 50+ in the US - eriehiker - 01-18-2024 Hello Everyone! I used to be a regular poster on this board and on degreeinfo, but I have been away for a bit. Anyway, I have been actively researching my family history - Flemish, German, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Rusyn - and I came across this weird little new program. A university in the Czech Republic apparently offers virtual courses to those 50+ in the Czech Republic and it has been successful enough that they now appear to be expanding it to Czech-Americans. I have no idea if these courses offer credit, but I kind of like the idea of the program as a way for Czech-Americans to learn about the culture. (Some universities actually offer Czech language online courses for credit but I'm not so sure whether the exams would be also online, more likely not.) It's interesting, they've got a 'location/school' in so many cities, including Seattle! If it's an option to learn the language for those who are interested, this may be one of those viable options if you are interested... Locations: https://www.czechschoolsamerica.org/schools.html |
