Which degree with these credits? - duetomorrowdotomorrow - 01-18-2024 Hi all, I made a poor attempt at a bachelors degree long ago, starting in 2005. My transcript is on hold until June 1st, so I can't send to UMPI for evaluation. Here's what I have from there: Human Bio (3) Comp/Lit 1 (4) Comp/Lit 2 (4) Stellar Astronomy (3) Contemporary Math (3) Art of Music Listening (3) Gen. Psych (3) Intro to Archaeology (3) Intro to Phil: Practical Reasoning (3) Understanding Movies (3) Pre-Calc (4) CS- Info Systems (4) Intro to Programming (4) Sense of Politics (3) Visual Programming (3) Principles of Acct 1 (3) Microeconomics (3) Intro to Soc. (3) Principles of Marketing (3) Technical Report Writing (4) Macroeconomics (3) Spreadsheets & Databases (3) I've been brushing up on some Sophia courses and have completed: Art History 1 Intro to Info Tech Intro to Business Visual Communications Intro to Ethics Environmental Science Critical Thinking Essentials of Managing Conflict Business Communications Foundations of Statistics Workplace Communications US History 1 Ancient Greek Philosophers I'm wondering if I could get some input on what would be the quickest way for me to get my Bachelors. My employer will pay for an MBA once i'm done but I have to do it quick. I've got 10+ years experience in business and currently work in communications/lobbying. I can work on classes at work and like to stay up late, so I would say 2-3 hours per day. I'm good at writing papers and researching. Just looking for next steps to fill out the max credits before starting on July 1st. Thank you! RE: Which degree with these credits? - bjcheung77 - 01-18-2024 @duetomorrowdotomorrow, Welcome to the board, that's a good intro post with a slimmed down addendum and template... Basically, UMPI BABA for the win... I suggest you apply, wait for an evaluation from UMPI to see where you stand, you can get the UMPI AALS added as a second program and 'forget it', you will have the program complete when you finish the Bachelors, I suggest either the BABA Management & Leadership or Project Management & Info Systems concentration, unless you have too many credits that go as electives, you can then go for the BLS with a minor or two of your choice... Thanks for all the info! As stated, my official transcript will not be available until June 1st. I believe this means that I can't get a credit eval done before then. I don't want to waste any time doubling up classes, or taking ones that don't transfer to UMPI. But I also have 5 months that I could be working on something! That's interesting, I don't see it as an obstacles like you do, as I prompt everyone to work on the trifecta of certs, degree, experience. Since you didn't fill in the addendum or template, I don't know much about your situation at all, but if you've read my posts, I tell people to mix/match the trifecta the best they can and get a balanced approach of them. You also need to create a spreadsheet template to keep record and track your progress, you'll also see a visual of what classes are missing by following the WIKI for the degree of choice. You also need to link us to that spreadsheet on your google/one drive as a viewable (not editable) file, and we'll update you with recommendations.
