Good amount of credits, what to do next? - khon - 01-18-2024 Your Location: VA, USA Your Age: 35 What kind of degree do you want?: Bachelors. Eventually will pursue a masters, ideally a MSW. Current Regional Accredited Credits: 85 Budget: As little as possible Commitments: I have a full time job, but I can do a few hours of schoolwork a week during work hours, and I have no commitments outside of this. Timeline: ASAP. Ideal would be before the end of Aug, 2024. I have looked through the forum and have been lurking for a couple weeks now. I would prefer CBE because I have had success with that in the past, but I am also more than happy to take as many Sophia/etc credits somewhere and finish up that way. I have sent in applications to Excelsior and UMPI to see what classes they will transfer in. My biggest concern is which credits may transfer, and what kind of classes they will leave me with. Since a majority of my credits are in human services/social work I am assuming a psych or general studies degree will be my best bet. I would love to be able to get started on some Sophia credits ASAP, but I’m not sure where to start with that. I am feeling discouraged, because I expected to be done with school by now. I am looking for some reassurance, and guidance if anyone can tell me if I’ve got the right idea with this. I suggest you wait for an evaluation from UMPI to see where you stand, you can get the UMPI AALS added as a second program and 'forget it', you will have the program complete when you finish the Bachelors, I suggest either the BABA Management & Leadership or Project Management & Info Systems concentration, unless you have too many credits that go as electives, you can then go for the BLS with a minor or two of your choice... |
