Writing Requirment - PCCLEP - 07-14-2008 I have not decided which of the big three to use. I've been taking dantes & cleps to knock out as many of the classes as I can. I've also taken a few classes from Penn Foster. My question is I need a class for the writing requirement. Does anyone have any feedback on the best way to take care of this? I've thought about Penn Foster or the Clep. Not sure what the best approach. Anyone have any experience with Penn Foster class? Do all three colleges accept Penn Foster? Thanks PC Writing Requirment - ali4nia - 07-14-2008 depends on the school you plan to attend.. search in the forum basically 6 credits for TESC doable through clep English comp or Freshman comp both with essay or TECEP or Penn foster or LSU, Excelsior doesnt take clep and I think Its only 3 credits, once you know your school, use the forum's search engine ![]() Writing Requirment - bat21 - 07-14-2008 I am taking Penn Foster English 100, and it is only 6 lessons (2) 20 question M/C Test for units 1&2 and (4) Essays Lessons 3-6, Lesson 3 is 25-500 word essay and than 750,1000, and so forth. Lesson 6 essay is your final and 30% of your grade. They kind of make you jump through hoops on how and what they want on your essay submissions, but overall its not to bad and you can knock it out within 5 weeks easily. I have already done 3 lessons in 2 weeks, without really trying, I have other classes I am doing also. Tesc and EC will accept PFC ENG100 as a Pass or Fail.I took the class , because EC would not accept my ENG COMP CLEP.\ I believe it might not be as writing intensive as LSU. But PFC makes you work for it, though. Writing Requirment - PCCLEP - 07-15-2008 Thank you both for the input |
