you supply your own calculator for DSST exams - or usually the testing center will let you borrow one.

computer based dsst statistics calculator - Epiphany - 07-16-2008

I took this exam this morning on the computer. I looked pretty thoroughly. No calculator online that I could see. The PDF for the exam does mention one is available online. I did not take the newer/beta test (200-500 scoring), perhaps there is a calculator in there.

On a strange but true side note, the "how-to" section before the exam (the one that shows you how to choose an answer and hit "next" etc) did have a calculator. No statistical functions. Looked like the kind you might see in the accessories folder of windows PC.

Unless something has changed...there is no online calculator! That is what I was trying to relay with my original post...

If I were you I would forget the online calculator and get a TI BAII+ like it says in the feedback section. It definitely helped me get through that monster.

this is kinda shady, their test description pdf doesnt even mention how many questions the exam has and the time allowed to complet it, they say nothing lol I better find a paper version on that one hilarious

When I took the stats test I did not even see the on-line calculator. I would practice with your own calculator so you know how to use all the stats functions. You don’t want to try to figure a new calculator out in the middle of the test. If you are like the rest of us you will be plenty stressed during this test (it’s a hard but doable).

what the heck...I answered your exact question. There was no online calculator when I took stats 4 months ago and I have not heard anyone mention ever using an online calculator for DSST exams...It is probably not the smartest thing to criticize someone that is trying to help you or you may have difficulty getting help in the future...maybe you can explain how I was "so off-topic with my original post"???

By the way...to answer the other 2 questions that you posed. There are different versions of the test and the different versions have different amounts of total questions. One may have 85 questions and another may have 98 questions. So, DSST will never say exactly how many questions there will be on any given test. Also, unless I am wrong, all computer-based DSSTs are 2 hours in length. I know for sure that Statistics was...
