MAT 140 AND ENG 101 Starting in January 2024. - Gijaodola - 11-25-2023 Hi everyone, i am looking for various insight on how to approach MAT 140 (MATHEMATICS FOR BUSINESS) and ENG 101 ( COLLEGE COMPOSITION). I will be starting both classes in January 2024. Please kindly advise on what to expect and how to approach and pass the classes, and for those that have done this classes can i finish those 2 classes in 1 month. RE: MAT 140 AND ENG 101 Starting in January 2024. - rachel83az - 11-25-2023 AFAIK, MAT-140 has changed a bit since the move to Brightspace and I'm not sure if anyone has taken it and reported on the new format yet. ENG101 is seemingly a bit longer than it used to be, but you should be able to finish both in under a month regardless. RE: MAT 140 AND ENG 101 Starting in January 2024. - bjcheung77 - 11-25-2023 Even though there have been changes to the new system, you're required to do the work as per the instructions by following their rubric for scoring. That's all it is to get a better grad, email your professor when you have questions or issues. You're working at "Your Pace" to get the hang of things, they even have an Orientation class to get you started... Review some posts to the classes you mentioned... I finished in 3 days. There are 5 milestones with 4-5 questions each (I got through them all in about 7 hours or less). The final is a PowerPoint with voiceover and I probably spent about 5-6 hours on it. RE: MAT 140 AND ENG 101 Starting in January 2024. - bjcheung77 - 11-29-2023 Further to that, it really depends on the student as each person has different commitments and timeframes to complete their work, there are other various variables at play. In general, finishing a class in 3 days plus is the norm for a course, you want to pace yourself to finish one a week, so in one session, you can complete about 5-6, if you can do 5 a session, you just need two sessions to complete the minimum requirements, thus the total fee is just $1500/session X 2 = $3K. |
