I didn't make the claim. Sky News, a right-leaning Australian news company, reported on what Fox News aired.
Right after that, the reporter said quote:
"I spoke with a senior commander just after that who confirmed that indeed was a Palestine militant who crossed from Gaza or was there since the massacre on Saturday.
They will investigate what happened and question that man."
After firing gutshots, he was detained, questioned, and then cleared in a span of 10 seconds. They must have hired the fastest server ever.

10 seconds? I realize it might be hard to believe but there is a thing called video editing. If you've never heard of such thing, you can compress a film of the Vietnam war into two hours without witchcraft. The guy is lucky. The IDF has been employing "shoot them all, let God sort it out" rules of engagement.

So this guy is a high-level suspected terrorist confirmed by a senior commander, and they release him near where they were walking him just a moment ago?
Obviously, Fox's narrative of them capturing a dangerous Palestine militant fell apart when the video showed him being released moments later.

When I pretended to be a soldier, the Colonel wouldn't have known the specific identity of the guy in his skivvies, just that there was a guy in his skivvies. Obvious - this guy was released and someone else was arrested.
