European university - fiyajou3 - 11-10-2023
i know this is a primarily american focused site, but i know a german fully online university that is really cheap and fully accredited in germany and US and Canada. its called international university of applied sciences, im still on the fence about going to it, so im just asking if you guys know about it and if its worth it for someone on a really tight budget.

Okay, IU is not accredited internationally. It's accredited in Germany and that's it. If someone is trying to tell you that it has US and Canadian accreditation, they are either lying or mistaken. U.S. and Canadian evaluators have rated an IU degree as being equivalent to a U.S./Canadian degree, but that is absolutely not the same as accreditation.
Where are you? Europe? U.S.? Canada? What kind of degree are you hoping to get?

i saw that WES canada/US recognises it, so i thought that means its recognised
im from morocco, i did look into TESU but im worried its way too complicated with the whole sophia/study courses and then finish off the last 30 credits from them, im looking for a bachelor in CS. im currently about to start with university of the people hoping they will get their regional accredition this february

Recognized is not the same as accredited. At least, not in the US and Canada. Are you wanting to move to the US/Canada or are you just looking for an inexpensive degree?
I'm worried that UoPeople will be a waste of your time and money because we don't know when (or if) they'll gain regional accreditation. If they remain NA, they probably cannot be used for immigration purposes in many countries. If you remain in Morocco, I'm not sure if a UoPeople degree will do anything. Maybe? You'd have to look into what Morocco considers to be a valid foreign degree. Germany doesn't think UoPeople degrees are legit, for instance, while I believe the Netherlands and the Czech Republic might.
TESU is actually not that complicated once you start working on it. Go bit by bit and it's actually relatively straightforward.

yeah my plan is to eventually use my degree to move to Canada through their express system
the rest of what you said i agree with you on it. tesu does sound like the cheapest and most convincing so far, i tried to look at hacking plans on here but i havent found one yet, could you please share yours or some plan when it comes to Bs in CS?

oh wow, i think your very last link " your plan?" seems like the most detailed and convenient, do you know over all how much would it cost to do all of this? i know taking the degree at tesu full rate is 17k, so im wondering how your plan is going to cost

@fiyajou3, as always, it's great to ask questions and seek answers... Having said that, it's much more important to answer questions too as that will help us help you further. Without knowing more details as you've 'skipped' questions asked of you, it may affect the answers we would want to provide... So please review the questions asked, and answer them the best you can... It's not going to be 17K, it's going to be 7K or less for the degree if you follow through with our plans accordingly...
