Waiting on registration, do I have all I need? - Indieblue - 10-31-2023

I tried to sign up on their site today, but it is giving me an error stating that I already have an account? Oh well, sent a message to their support, we shall see what they say.

Until then, does it look like I have everything I need to submit for graduation?

College Courses:
History 2111 US History 1
Eng111 Business English
Math098 Pre-Algebra
Math103 Algebraic Concepts
Cmp101 Introduction to Computers (only 2cr)
Psy100 Interpersonal/Professional Development (only 2cr)
Eng191 Composition and Rhetoric
DDF Courses - all in all I have 43.64 earned credit hours with most being drafting related courses.

I added to that these Sophia courses:
Visual Communications 3cr
Intro to IT 3cr
College Algebra 3cr
Project Management 3cr
Intro to Business 3cr
Environmental Science 3cr
Developing Effective Teams 1cr
Essentials of Managing Conflict 1cr

That is just over 63 credits and I think I covered all of the 'requirements'.

Thanks!!!

You want to continue taking Sophia.org classes and max the credit transfer to Pierpont and UMPI
Follow the WIKI link to complete more Sophia.org classes towards the UMPI degree, up to 90 credits
Here's the WIKI for Pierpont BOG AAS, click the potential UMPI degree link: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pierpont_C%26TC

Make sure to review your previous two threads here and verify you've completed the Sophia.org classes:

Thank you. I intend on continuing classes on Sophia as I know there are registration dates to consider, and I have time to kill. I just wanted to go ahead and submit for the BOG AAS if I could and get that out of the way. I'll check the links you shared.

Credits don't fully transfer to BOG? - Indieblue - 12-05-2023

I finally was able to access my Pierpont account and although they took quite a few of my tech college transfers, they only counted as 1 credit hour? Has anyone else had this happen? Some counted as 2, but it dropped my 40+ credits to 22.

Pierpont is easy, you don't really need to worry too much, you should screenshot your transcript (without personal details), and a screenshot of what shows up in ROAR for Pierpont so we can see what happened. If you're really missing credits, you can make them up since you're going towards a degree at UMPI (from reading your previous thread such as this one https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Pierpont-Checklist). You need to take up to 90 credits through Sophia.org or CLEP/MS, even another option you wanted like the Coursera Plus/TEEX and other cheapie/freebie options if you're going for the UMPI BAS/BLS.

I have enough credits through other means now, but I just didn't understand why things would be transferred in but less credits. The only thing that transferred with the full 3 credit hours was a 2001 US History course I took.

Here are a few of the examples.

do you still have any of your old syllabi? If its worth it to you, you could make the argument for more credit based on actual class content. I had to do that at COSC once.

Thank you. I truly just wanted my Drafting to count towards an AOE for the BOG. I didn't think that they'd account for much more since they are older and prior to much of the technological advancements in that field. I have enough credits through other sources to meet the BOG requirements, but perhaps I'll email Pierpont and see if these, or my CAD certificate will help me gain that AOE.

My degreeworks still shows that I need something to cover Computer Literacy and that I need 15 in residence hours. Is this new? I have Intro to Microcomputers (yes, it's old and they only gave me 1 credit hour when it transferred in). I also have Intro to IT through Sophia and Intro to Web Development which they put under General Electives. I also have 39 credits under 'fall through' that were not applied.

When I did mine, I rarely looked at the transcript or anything, I just made sure I hit all the requirements. You can follow the WIKI and take the corresponding courses with Sophia.org at your leisure or CLEP/MS if you're close to a test center or want to do the exam online... You can take the cheapies/freebies on the WIKI as well and get closer to the 90 credits towards the UMPI Bachelors of your choice to ladder up to...
