How long does a Degree Audit typically take? - 00u00u00 - 10-19-2023

I’ve already contacted Nancy and applied for graduation. I received an email last week stating that she was working on it, and if I don’t hear back by Monday to contact her which I did but there wasn’t a response. I’m already thankful that she is doing all of this and would not like to disturb her anymore than necessary. But what’s the timeline on receiving a Degree Audit? Should I be waiting for an email with the information? I also have a strange hold on my account that said “hold due to pre registration” but it went away this morning and another that says “reapply due to graduating”.

If it says "reapply due to graduating", your audit went through. Ms. Parks simply either forgot to email you or hasn't gotten around to it yet. She's the only one handling the BOG AAS program, so some things may slip through the cracks from time to time.

That's right, if you haven't told her what emphasis you wanted... you just need to 'wait' for her to get back to you. Graduation is Dec 8, that's when the final audit should have for... you're almost two months early for December graduation. Application deadline for graduation was Oct 6, they have to go through a few hundred applications... You don't have to do anything but email her and 'wait'... Of course, if you have anything else to work on, such as Sophia.org or the Coursera/TADA, or the EDX freebies, work on those as well while waiting...

I emailed Nancy on Tuesday asking for an update. She messaged me back yesterday with a copy of my degree audit. My status is also "reapply due to graduating".

She is working on them, like others have said they just take some time.

Congrats you guys! I got an email on Friday with my audit, it's done already. I want to change my emphasis though, it defaulted to "Business" and that's a little redundant. Hmm, still haven't decided which one to get... Leaning towards non Business or IT and something different...

Is IT an option? I put IT on my graduation application but I think Pierpont only offers Information Systems, is that the same?

Also I will just wait. I’m in no rush, as this degree is mostly so I can get better jobs while I work on my bachelor’s from WGU. I don’t want to bother Nancy, especially since it’s just her. I paid the $130 new student fee recently, which I think is an amazing price for an associates!

Aaah! So does pretty much everyone with Micro/Macroeconomics plus 3 other Intro Businesses courses automatically get stamped with a Business AOE?

That is what is saying on my audit even though I qualify for a Spanish and maybe a Science one as well. Not sure if I would do better keeping the Business AOE or asking Nancy to change it for Spanish. I also don't wish to give her extra work because she must be so busy.

If what you really want is Spanish or Science, I wouldn't feel bad about nicely asking it to be changed.

That's nice to hear. I wonder if Business would be better or Spanish would make my curriculum stand out a bit more.

Are you getting a Business Bachelor's? If so, you want a different Associate degree. If you're getting a different Bachelor's, Business might look good on resume.
