Not in any terms - applying for graduation error - bjcheung77 - 09-29-2023

Hmm, I am trying to apply for graduation with the Pierpont BOG AAS, I see my evaluation and transcripts, I transferred just 170 credits into their degree, the last one is coming through ASU.  Anyways, when I click apply for graduation, it just brings me to another window that says I am not in any session or terms.  It should bring me into a questionnaire or something to fill in...  Anyone know? I might need to email Nancy today make sure I can graduate December.

Unless they've changed things a lot, you have to email Ms. Parks. She will send you a PDF form that you need to print out, sign, and email back to her.

Nancy sent me a pdf graduation form that you print, fill out including which AOE you want and then you scan it and send it to a registrar email. I got an email syaing I graduate Dec 8th. Just need to check if they need anything else. I would send Nancy an email and hope graduation in December is still possible.

I got some more ACE credit between the last audit. Don't know if it would be worthwhile to send the transcript that gets automatically sorted since I have more than enough credits to graduate.

Awesome, I electronically signed it within Adobe Acrobat Reader and sent it to Lisa (also cc Nancy), hope it is enough time for December. I think graduation application was extended to October 6 as there was an automatic reply... Previously, I thought it was automatic after you fill in a webpage, but I guess that was for all the other non BOG degree offerings.

I thought you couldn't get the Pierpont degree if you had any other degree? How are you able to still get this associate with the other degrees you've received like the BSBA?

It's not fully enforced, similarly to the RA requirement. Here's the full wording I had in another post: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Pierpont-to-Charge-130-Fee-for-BOG-Degree?pid=403784#pid403784

Just a reminder that the December graduation application deadline is this Friday, October 6. Here's a reminder email from Nancy at Pierpont...

If you are receiving this email it is because you are listed as an "active" student in the Board of Governors degree program for Fall 2023.

The graduation application deadline for this semester is this Friday, October 6.

If you have not already applied for graduation, please complete the attached and return to the Assistant Registrar, Lisa Phillips, copied.

Many of you have already applied for graduation and some of you may not yet meet degree requirements until a later semester. In those cases, you do not need to submit a graduation application.

If you think you MAY be eligible and you still have transcripts in process, go ahead and submit a graduation application just in case.

Note: Your completing a graduation application is NOT a guarantee of eligibility...just a safeguard in place if you do.

If you've already graduated with this degree in a previous semester, please keep in touch. I love hearing your success stories.

Does anyone know when the next graduation date is available if we missed it for Fall (December)? I can't find a clear timeline online. I'm nearly done with my credits and am looking forward to transfering elsewhere for my Bachelors ASAP but am not sure how quickly that can happen at this point.

Yes, as jg_nuy mentioned... That's the application deadlines dates for Pierpont...
