Unaccredited degree assembled from courses at accredited schools - elcastor21 - 09-26-2023 I was reading this thread from the sister forum: https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?threads/unaccredited-degree-assembled-from-courses-at-accredited-schools.62469/ , I like the concept but the entity looks sketchy as hell, and the name is horrible too(World University, LOL, sounds like something from The Simpsons) I was thinking, as anyone else have had the same idea of uniting several courses in a curriculum comparable to an accredited institution Closest thing that comes to mind is OSSU(CS Curriculum from MOOCs): https://github.com/ossu/computer-science RE: Unaccredited degree assembled from courses at accredited schools - bjcheung77 - 09-26-2023 Yup, I just updated the thread there... As I mentioned, it's a mix/match of the MOOCs, basically grabbing courses from Coursera, Edx, Udacity, etc. People can make their own degree plan using these free resources and do a PLA or challenge exam, maybe even take corresponding ACE credit if it's offered. |
