easy history classes with the move to bright space - bvndz - 08-29-2023 I need to take 6 history classes, can someone recommend 6 easy ones please, especially with the new system. RE: easy history classes with the move to bright space - tsgreer - 08-29-2023 The new system was just started yesterday, so I don't know if anyone will have feedback on what's easy in the new system just yet. RE: easy history classes with the move to bright space - rachel83az - 08-29-2023 I would suggest looking for classes taught by Zaborney. Even if the Brightspace classes are different than the previous Strut classes, it sounds like the ones taught by Zaborney are the best. I'm not sure if Zaborney teaches all history classes or just some of them. RE: easy history classes with the move to bright space - bjcheung77 - 08-29-2023 With the 'move' to BrightSpace, they should still have each course being offered per session. As always, it's best to contact them as we do not work for UMPI, we don't know their newest changes until someone reports it and we try to decipher it. Your best bet is to contact them to find out what courses are offered, cross reference that with courses that were reviewed by students on this forum. We have students write about their experience in many history classes, one class may be easier than the other but it still depends on the student and various variables in regards to their commitments, study habits, etc... I would review all the history write ups here... https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-UMPI-Class-Review-Master-Thread RE: easy history classes with the move to bright space - post*it*notes - 08-29-2023 I'm taking a history class right now, from my experience with history classes on the old platform I'd say the content is exactly the same just on a new platform. I can't took ahead and count how many milestones there are like we could before (old system, even when lessons were blocked the table of contents would show milestone icons) so its a little frustrating to be able to plan out my time like I'm used to. I guess what I'm getting at is, the class review thread we have going is probably still relevant. RE: easy history classes with the move to bright space - RbxFunRocks - 08-29-2023 Not sure how much the course content itself has changed. The teachers, on the other hand, almost certainly have the same grading styles. The easy classes on YourPace are probably also easy on Brightspace. Funnily enough, even though I've graduated in December, I'm able to see all of my old courses in Brightspace (kinda). I don't see any of the actual course content, though. Each class just shows up with a Table of Contents, "Click Here to Get Started", and the Final Assessment. I also still have access to the same classes on YourPace with every single lesson in tact. Wanted to see if I could figure out the answer to your question and although I didn't, the results were still interesting. RE: easy history classes with the move to bright space - PrettyFlyforaChiGuy - 08-29-2023 HTY 456 Films of the Cold War seems to be the same content as before the switch. I believe it's 4 or 5 milestones. The usual suspects would be: HTY 370 Arab-Israeli Conflict HTY 489 History of Diseases HTY 439 Vietnam War HTY 350 Environmental History POS 343 Marxism (if it cross-lists as HTY instead of just PHI) Same for POS 332 and POS 335 Maybe your situation would allow you to take both Vietnam War courses on SDC to pull in two UL courses, then make up the difference at UMPI with something else. easy history classes with the move to bright space - bvndz - 08-29-2023 (08-29-2023, 02:54 PM)rachel83az Wrote: I would suggest looking for classes taught by Zaborney. Because I was just assigned to Amy with my first two classes im in right now. Sent from my iPhone using DegreeForum.net RE: easy history classes with the move to bright space - rachel83az - 08-30-2023 You can't pick instructors, but each class should only have one instructor. I.E., you ought to be able to ask which classes Zaborney is teaching and then take those. Dr. Z teaches specific history courses every session. He's a popular prof. |
