Saylor BIO101 Notes Request - axelblaze77 - 08-23-2023
I want to take the BIO101 Proctored Exam on Saylor. I chose to use Saylor because it's WAYY more affordable than the others. It would be really helpful if I could get some notes to study from since the material on Saylor has too much fluff. I'd be willing to pay for some good notes too. I'd also like to ask for some advice on the proctored exam.

I don't think anyone's taken that exam here, though I could be mistaken. Sophia can actually work out to be both more affordable and faster, too, which is why most students aren't bothering with Saylor gen eds.

I did Biology on Sophia in just a few hours, so I would not know what this exam is like and if the credits will not be duplicates.

If you're already willing to pay for study notes in addition to the Saylor exam fee you really would likely be better off just getting the credit through Sophia (and you can pick up the extra lab credit too).
Another option for you might be the Biology CLEP (if you don't need the lab credit), that can be completed for free through modern states.

CLEP/MS, Sophia.org, are very good options. In regards to reading other peoples notes, if they word things differently or incorrectly, it may cause you to lose marks as you wouldn't know if there are mistakes. For Saylor.org, even though their learning system isn't up to par in most areas, you can still make your own notes, then shrink that down. You're here to learn the material your way, do the work and quickly skim through the material, copy/paste content to form your own notes, this helps in recall/retention of the material. Heck, if you wanted you can use the CLEP/MS options to supplement your knowledge before the exam.

Sure, Saylor is more affordable than others - IF you can pass the exams, which are questionable.
CLEP is even cheaper if you're in the US - do the free test-prep course through ModernStates.org, and the CLEP exam is completely free.
But bang for your buck, you can't beat Sophia.
