Any Insight On These Classes? - MichaelDoesMarketing - 08-16-2023

- Bus 260 Leadership
- Bus 321 Human Resource Management
- Bus 415 Operations Management

Just wondering if anyone knows if these classes are easy/difficult and short/long, format, etc....

Also, does anyone have any advice on the fastest path to a double minor?

I've decided to to just do the BLS with Management minor so I can get it out of the way and spend my time, money, and focus on my MS or MBA. I know I need 10 classes at UMPI, and I only need the 3 listed above + 2 300/400 electives to satisfy the degree. Then I'll obviously have to take 5 other classes so I was thinking about making those 5 another minor. Is there a minor that's faster/pairs well with the management minor? For example - management + project management or something?

I was also considering doing the second minor in History bc 1.) I enjoy History and 2.) I see a lot of people on this forum talk about Zaborney's classes and how most of them are fast and also fun.

I'm really aiming to knock out all 10 classes in 1 term if possible, but if I need to carry over into Fall II, I'm totally fine with that as well.

Any insight is much appreciated!

If you take a look at the UMPI Master Class Review Thread pinned above you can see exactly what those classes entail currently, however BUS 321 will be changing come Fall 1 term due to it being an exam. BUS321 is a currently a super short course with no milestones and a single Exam and the Final Assessment. It took me like 2 days to finish that course this term. I transferred BUS 260 in from a Military Leadership course, and BUS 415 is a powerpoint, so I'm doing that one at Saylor Academy for the $5 proctoring fee. I'd say a good minor to pair with the BABA Management/Leadership is either MIS (my additional minor) or maybe Project Management. Good luck!

These classes are going to change so any info out there no will be old news. UMPI is moving from the Strut Learning Platform to Brightspace and have rewritten many of the courses especially the business courses. Plan for 2 sessions. If you can get it all done in 1, great, but it's better to plan for it to take longer.
