AP, CLEP, IB, vs others - Comparison/Example - bjcheung77 - 08-11-2023 Most post secondary institutions have their own guidelines for transfer credit of AP, CLEP, IB and other international exams or qualifications such as A-Levels. Here's an example, some institutions take AP, CLEP, and not IB or another international exam such as the mentioned A-Levels. What you should do is, find the schools that do and don't, decide for yourself which degree/school interest you the most and apply to those institutions that hit your goal or requirements. Let's use three of the institutions we talk about most, Excelsior University, TESU, and UMPI, you can check other institutions such as COSC, PUG, SNHU, WGU, or whatever else that you're interested in and see if they take your IB or A-Levels, etc. There are many institutions that accept AP & CLEP, but not as many accept IB and other international offerings. Excelsior accepts, IB exams - Transfer Credit Sources - Excelsior University UMPI accepts IB exams - International Baccalaureate | UMPI Offices and Services (BTW, the person listed on UMPI no longer works for the registrar department) TESU does NOT accept IB - Can I transfer other college, AP, and/or IB credit? |
