General subject and hum 103 - Sara143 - 08-09-2023 First , I am apologize for my confusion I just want to make sure I am not missing something and want to get more information about the classes that I am going to start. I have done these general classes US history Environmental science Approach to studying religions I am working on foundation of statics , human bio and bio with lab at Sophia. Am I missing any class for general education? Can I do 103 hum at UMPI instead of art ? Denise M Frusciante is instructor for hum 103 for this season . Anyone took class with her? I have only few days left to take and finish hum 103 . I will be hard for me to finish if the instructor will make me invest lot of time for each milestone. RE: General subject and hum 103 - ss20ts - 08-09-2023 Foundation of Statistics will not transfer to UMPI. We have no idea what classes you've completed from the GEC. You should have a degree evaluation form from Jessica which shows you everything you need to complete your degree. Didn't you ask about HUM103 last week? Yes, you can take it for 2D. Few days? Session ends August 25th. Rough Drafts are due the 18th. I don’t want college algebra. RE: General subject and hum 103 - ss20ts - 08-09-2023 Don't know which degree your in and what classes you've already completed. College Algebra and Introduction to Statistics is what most people have taken. The BABA's require MAT140 which you have to take at UMPI or Calculus 1 from Sophia. RE: General subject and hum 103 - Sara143 - 08-09-2023 I meant introduction to statistics ( I am sorry English is not my first language) RE: General subject and hum 103 - ss20ts - 08-09-2023 (08-09-2023, 05:37 PM)Sara143 Wrote: I meant introduction to statistics ( I am sorry English is not my first language) Intro to Stats will transfer into the GEC. It fills 3A and 3B. Make sure you have 40 credits in the GEC when you're done. I can ask Jessica but she seems very busy. RE: General subject and hum 103 - bjcheung77 - 08-09-2023 Yes, take everything you can from Sophia.org as they're not proctored, take everything literally (unless the class is not offered by them). RE: General subject and hum 103 - rachel83az - 08-10-2023 You can do Study.con but they are more expensive and more difficult for the GEC requirements. The math will be especially difficult on Study.com compared to Sophia. Review this page: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_Sophia_Transfer_Equivalents If you see something with a similar or identical name at Study.com https://study.com/college/school/umpi.html then it will probably work in the same way at UMPI. You can confirm this by checking the transfer database and then asking Jessica if you can use it for that requirement. She is instructor for Hum 103. As much as I want to help, I have not taken anything at UMPI or know each and every professor review. Just to let you know, most of our senior members or moderators haven't taken UMPI programs, we know about them and have helped students navigate through them by carefully planning courses for max transfer. We are familiar with how UMPI works and have helped students preplan their degree courses through alternative credits before. As there have been some significant changes to UMPI (and a system change from Strut to BrightSpace), it's best to keep creating posts or threads and we can answer this as a group (not just PM me). |
