Accreditation problems for Ocean County College - indigoshuffle - 07-22-2023 I don't know if anybody has noticed, but apparently OCC is in the news because their accreditation is at risk. I called the middle states myself and apparently they cannot guarantee the school will remain open. A young lady I know is seriously considering leaving her associates program due to the accreditation issue. I told her it was extremely rare for any school to lose their accreditation but it doesn't seem like she's willing to take the risk. I told her to look at Thomas Edison or Pierpont for an associates since her goal is med school. If I were in the nursing program there, personally, I would just finish. But everyone's comfortable level with that degree of risk is going to be different.
