Where do mentors go to find openings? - Lindagerr - 06-29-2008
I have spoken to 2 friends in the past couple of days both have masters degrees and would like to do some teaching. When I told them I thought they would be excellent for mentoring online courses they both loved the idea. Now how do they find openings? Any suggestions? I know these two would be caring involved mentors, but it doesn't have to be at TESC. I think I have heard mentoring doesn't pay a lot, but these women just need something extra to fill not just the pocketbook.

I don't think you would find them on monster.com or indeed.com. You would probably have to go to each individual school web site and look under their employment listings.

I would check with the college websites.

Try The Chronicle of Higher Education, or their website at chroniclecareers.com.
Good luck!

I just looked on Monster.com and Univ of Phoenix has an ad on there for teachers.
