Any chance an Intro to Types of Lit course from a CC counts as a 2nd composition course from TESU?

Here are the attributes for it from the school, in case that helps:

Hey, it's a good start. I don't think there's enough information to go by to answer that though... Would you happen to know the names and course numbers for them instead?

It's English B1B from Bakersfield College.

Based on that I would say 'No'.  TESU Comp II is plentiful in options to get alt credit for, but the key is it is about writing where as your course is understanding/comprehending what is written.  From TESU: "English Composition II is a course about three aspects of one process: writing an effective research paper."

@savvyg, which one of the following have you taken through them? https://bakersfield.elumenapp.com/catalog/2023-2024/english#mainContent

Currently registered for EnglB1B in the fall. Have already taken EnglB1A. I was hoping EnglB1B would fulfill Comp II. My current option to fulfill Bakersfield College's Area A.3. section is:

COMM B5, B15
ENGL B1B, B2, B3
HIST B9
PHIL B7, B9

I was hoping one of these would work for Comp II as well. Maybe Hist B9?

Nope!  It doesn't even fulfill Composition at the college you took it at, so it would be hard to tell TESU it's a comp course.  Your school counts it as a Humanities course, as well TESU.

From the list above, you only have two options, these shows as it'll hit the requirements for their own Area A.2
The others on the list doesn't come into Bakersfield College General Education Pattern ( Area A.2 Written Comm. )

ENGLB2 - Advanced Composition and Critical Thinking
ENGLB3 - Argumentative Writing and Critical Thinking Through Literature

If you're going for an Associates at Bakersfield, take any of these, it should transfer to TESU as English Comp II
