Microsoft Ends Partnership with Credly - MNomadic - 05-25-2023 I don't know what this will mean regarding ACE credit but will try to find more info later. Credly partnership to retire At the end of June 2023, we’re retiring our partnership with Credly. Here's what this means to you: From that date, Credly will no longer issue badges for Microsoft Certifications. All your certifications will be on your Microsoft Learn profile, ready for sharing and verification, and will be updated with pertinent information, such as expiration and renewal dates. If you don’t have a Credly profile, you can verify and share your certifications on your Microsoft Learn profile. If you do have a Credly profile, Microsoft Certifications that you earned and claimed before June 2023 will be there through June 2024, but will no longer be updated with changes to expiration or renewal dates. If you’ve shared your certifications through Credly on other platforms, such as LinkedIn, we encourage you to share them again from your Microsoft Learn profile to help ensure continued verification services, since Credly will no longer verify or receive any information on Microsoft Certifications after the end of June 2023. RE: Microsoft Ends Partnership with Credly - spohara - 05-25-2023 I really hate silos. Only my MS certs are on MS Learn. I have some stuff on Credly, some on Badgr. Especially for industry certs, I wish I could do it all on one platform. Recently I've even been specifically looking for analogous certs for some stuff that doesn't partner with Credly. They're respected certs, but not being on Credly just annoys me. I want a one stop shop. MS seems like it is actively insulating itself in a lot of respects even with its platforms not playing nice with some open source stuff for development. Disappointing to say the least. RE: Microsoft Ends Partnership with Credly - bjcheung77 - 05-25-2023 Oh darn, oh well. I guess most of us can always continue with the Coursera/TADA offerings for now until something better pops up... RE: Microsoft Ends Partnership with Credly - sanantone - 05-25-2023 As long as they get this sorted out for the ACE stuff, this is preferable. Credly could go out of business any day. I'm still annoyed that ACE ended its transcript service because most of my ACE credits didn't transfer over to Credly. I forgot about that. Well, Pearson could sell or close down Credly any day if they determine it's a money loser. LOL |
