After 14 student deaths, North Carolina State confronts a national crisis - bjcheung77 - 05-13-2023 Ouch, half of that came from suicides, 4 natural causes, 2 overdoses, and 1 auto accident. Most of these could have been preventable if they had something in place for mental health. They need to offer more programs so peers can help other peers, and more mentors to guide these through their toughest times. Once you get past that initial hump or lows in life, it becomes easier... I remember way back when I was volunteering at a Crisis Center, youth called in for help (this is before the internet, like when I was a late teen myself looking forward to either a job as a psychologist or social worker). There needs to be an anonymous line or online chat for volunteers to help those in need, or something similar to that put in place for those seeking help...
