Do I need to complete 2 8 week sessions for Financial Aid? - jarrett312 - 05-07-2023

If I get a student loan will I need to pay for two sessions $2800 or can I get it all done in one taking out only $1400?

Confirm with the financial aid office, but generally you need to be considered at least half time for financial aid. That is determined by the amount of credit hours in a (traditional) semester; half-time is 6 credit hours and full-time is considered 12. So, if you finish 30 credits in one 8 week term, that should consider you full-time (as it is well over the required 12 credits in a semester). An easy way to look at a semester is if you see a "Spring I" and a "Spring II" offered, the two combined is the Spring semester.

You need to be enrolled for 4 courses at the beginning of the session to be considered full-time for financial aid. I had this one session as it was my last session. Jessica enrolled me in the 4 courses when I signed up for my classes.
