Can I change my matriculation date? - pie - 04-20-2023
Hi,
I want to enroll in the Fall 1 semester (Aug 28th), but my application is for Summer 2 (Jul 3rd). I want to start in Fall to finish 7 more classes on SDC, and I don't think Summer 2 allows enough time.
I just got an email to schedule my admissions interview and not sure how to proceed. Should I take the interview and let them know I would prefer to start in the Fall?

What admissions interview? Is this with an enrollment counselor or an academic advisor? If an enrollment counselor, you never need to speak with them. They're sales people and don't know much about YourPace. If an academic advisor, just let them know you want to change your enrollment date. It's not a big deal to change the date.

Basically, If you're not feeling ready, I suggest you let them know you want to verify you've been accepted and your transcripts have been evaluated, then let your academic advisor know you would like to delay enrollment until the next session. You must make sure you've been accepted, transcripts evaluated, and request a delay of your session, I've seen people get delayed as they've not verified application or transcripts have been evaluated...
