Study.com price increase - bruh - 04-04-2023 Has anyone else noticed that Study.com's price has increased to $235? I saw that it was still $200 a few weeks ago. Darn. This was gonna be my first time getting college credit from SDC too, ahah. I wonder if extra proctored exams within a 1-month period are still $70. I just thought this was worth mentioning to the community just in case it hadn't been talked about already. Sorry if it's already been discussed elsewhere. RE: Study.com price increase - LevelUP - 04-04-2023 You can get $60+ off for the first 3 months using a discount code found here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Current-Study-com-Coupon-Codes RE: Study.com price increase - origamishuttle - 04-04-2023 Pricing seemed to be inconsistent as far back as last June: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-study-com-raising-prices When I search it I see the same price I've seen since I first signed up in December 2021: https://www.google.com/search?q=How+much+does+the+College+Accelerator+plan+cost%3F How much does the College Accelerator plan cost? The College Accelerator plan costs $199.99 per month. Additionally, College Accelerator users can pause their account at anytime. [sic] How many courses can I take to earn credit per month? You can take as many courses as you'd like per month, but you can only take 2 proctored exams each month under the College Accelerator subscription. You can purchase up to 3 more exam attempts each month for $70 for each additional exam. This allows you to earn credit for up to 5 courses month. RE: Study.com price increase - bjcheung77 - 04-04-2023 Haha, weird, I just did a 'mock' signup and it's still the same $199 for me! Anyone think this price increase is geared for specific States? YOUR SELECTED PLAN: College Accelerator 30 day money back guarantee Starting Apr 4, 2023 $199.99 /mo Just $6.67 /day (+ tax if applicable) RE: Study.com price increase - bruh - 04-04-2023 (04-04-2023, 08:45 PM)LevelUP Wrote: You can get $60+ off for the first 3 months using a discount code found here: Thank you! Ohh okay, some dots are connecting in my brain now. Perhaps it does vary by state. I'm in California. I'll have to test it out w/ a 'mock' sign-up of my own + maybe a VPN too someday. Thanks for the insight. RE: Study.com price increase - Cofffeee - 04-04-2023 You should use vpn to get the best price which is ridiculous but its unfortunately reality RE: Study.com price increase - smarterby1degree - 04-05-2023 Try clearing your cache (history). That usually works every time. You can still use a 30% discount code: smarterby1degree (save $180 off your first 3 months- $139/mo instead of $199/mo) Study is always trying out different prices to see if people will pay for them, that is all it is. Using a different device or browser works as well. That usually works every time. Yo wait what— I could've done that? It's okay/legit to just use a VPN, clear my cache, or change my device/browser? I already bought the membership though Can I still do that? I've only done the placement test for Presentation Skills, so can I just get a refund since I haven't taken any proctored exams yet and then start over? Or if that doesn't work, then perhaps I'll delete my account instead. After that, I'll use a VPN/clear my cache/change my device or browser in order to get the lower price. Is this plan possible, or has this ship sailed already? RE: Study.com price increase - bjcheung77 - 04-05-2023 Email Study.com support and mention you forgot to enter in the referral code when signing up and you will be taking at least 3 months or more with them. I highly recommend the 3 month option with the discount unless you only need two courses from Study.com, do you have a degree plan and know the number of courses you'll take at Study.com? I just sent the email to SDC support. I've already made my degree plan too*; I'm gonna be taking 10 courses thru them. I might only be using SDC for two months though. Am I able to use the discount for two months and then cancel before the third? * It's available to see in my previous post :p |
