16 Credit Term Plan what do you think? - mt_1994 - 03-16-2023 This is for my BA in Computer Science. I was originally going to take everything outside of Tesu except the Cornerstone and Capstone but I just found out about the waiver fee. What do you guys think of these classes for a 16-credit term. Would the work load be too much? Cornerstone Capstone Software Engineering EAS 110- General Earth Science POS 110- American Government or Bio 208 The Science of Nutrition 1 credit course undecided 16 Credit Term Plan what do you think? - jch - 03-16-2023 If you decide to take American Government at TESU, take it as an ePack. Then you just have to pass a multiple choice final exam to get the credit, and it counts toward the 16 residency credits. Use any CLEP government course (instantcert, modern states, etc) to study. Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Excelsior-University-BS-in-Business-General-Need-Help?pid=388407#pid388407 Please follow this thread I just linked and the advice I have in the last post, basically to provide us more details about your budget, commitments, study habits, anything else that can help us further decipher your situation and then we can properly provide advice. Seriously, you will get answers that vary wildly, an example is, if you only have 3 hours a day weekdays and 3 hours a day for the weekend, that's only 21 hours per week to study. You won't have enough time to take on that course load effectively. However, if your answer is, I don't work, have no commitments, 10 hour days can be spent every single day of the week, that'll be 70 hours each week to spend on these courses, you'll have a much more successful attempt at cracking this with good grades. 2 e-pack classes unrelated to my major for the flat rate? - mt_1994 - 03-20-2023 Can I just take 2 epack classes unrelated to my computer science major to get the 16 credits in one term? Sure. The only two courses that have to be taken from TESU are the cornerstone and capstone. You can use any other courses you like to fulfill residency. Considering the difficulty of doing 16 credits at once, you're best off picking easier courses. The nice thing about ePacks are that they are self-paced, so you can schedule them to your advantage. Also, remember that you can always fall back on extending a course, if needed. If you ever find yourself behind, be sure to notify the mentor BEFORE you miss a deadline. If you turn something in late without notice, school policy requires the mentor to deduct points. If you get approval ahead, then mentor can give you full credit. PLA-100 is a popular choice for the 1 credit course. Beyond that, easiest is kinda in the eye of the beholder. If you're tech-savvy, then perhaps CIS-107 Computer Concepts and Applications would be easy. |
