When a Milestone has you write, say, one page or less (or a paragraph), has a text field and an upload function, do they want it typed into the text field or do they want a document written and uploaded? APA formatting?

Also, for my first paper the rubric says to reference scholarly journals as well as the textbook, but there is no textbook. Finding scholarly journals to read is going to take as long as I spent on the whole class so far.

I have had luck searching with Google Scholar and accessing via Sci-Hub in case you haven't discovered those yet. https://sci-hub.wf/

I always just wrote the short ones in the text field without any formatting. Unless the professor specifically asked for a word doc. in APA, otherwise I don't do it. I do however usually type it out in pages or word just because its easier to edit and make corrections, then just copy and paste it into the text field. And add citations if need be.

Welcome to college! Yes, researching scholarly journals will take time. That's part of writing a paper. Yes, you have to have references and follow APA for the papers. You can use UMPI's library. All you have to do is long into MaineStreet and then you can click the link below to the library where you'll have full access to their digital catalog. When logged in you'll be able to read many of the Google Scholar articles, but not all. EBSCO and ProQuest are the 2 largest databases. You'll find everything you need in those 2 databases.

The "textbook" is the course material, I believe. I finished in December and I would always type directly into the text field.
