Study.com Failed Exam - BSBRose21 - 01-14-2023 Hello! I am working on a class with Study.com that includes an assignment and a proctored exam. The assignment has been submitted, but not graded yet. I completed the quizzes with 91 points. Since this course has been a bit more difficult, I'm concerned I may fail the exam (under 70%). If I reach 210 points with the assignment and exam, is it required to have a 70% on the exam to pass the course? I thought I saw that you just needed to reach a cumalitive 210. I'll be starting UMPI next week, so I want to finish this one as quickly as possible. RE: Study.com Failed Exam - rachel83az - 01-14-2023 It's a cumulative 210 points. You do NOT need 70% on the exam to pass. When there are assignments, the points are allocated with 100 points each to the quizzes, assignment(s), and exam. It's very important to get 100% on the quizzes, whenever possible. If you can go back and redo any of the quizzes, I'd do that. If you've already done 3 attempts on each quiz, 91 points isn't bad. Then let's say that your assignment is graded at 80%. That's 171 points. Then you'd only need about 40% on the final exam to pass. If you don't pass, you are allowed to retake the exam and/or redo the assignment to raise your score. RE: Study.com Failed Exam - BSBRose21 - 01-14-2023 I appreciate the information! After deciding to go for it, I did receive 73 points - not a great score, but at least it is passing. This is pending approval of the exam. There are 22 quizzes I can work on to improve the score if the assignment is scored too low. RE: Study.com Failed Exam - rachel83az - 01-14-2023 Great! As long as you get 46% or more on the assignment, you've passed! Hopefully, you do even better.
RE: Study.com Failed Exam - Tanya - 07-31-2024 I took Physics 111 and failed the exam 3 times. I had 95 on quizzes. I know I can't retake it. Can I get this failed course off my Study.com transcript? I reached out to them and got on response. I am really down about this. They are having a great offer now, take advantage of it. RE: Study.com Failed Exam - CPA_Kitten - 11-14-2024 (01-14-2023, 02:34 PM)rachel83az Wrote: It's a cumulative 210 points. While your math is correct, it does not align with the Study.com statement on their support website. "To earn credit from our college courses, you need to complete the entire course (by achieving at least an 80% on every quiz) and pass a proctored final exam (a score of 70% or higher is passing). The proctored final exams are only available in our College Saver Edition. If you do not have a College Saver Edition, you can upgrade your membership at any time by clicking 'Membership and Billing' link within the Profile section of your Dashboard. You misunderstood the context of that statement. You can score under 70% on the final exam and pass a course. |
