UMPI BAS to BS - Mike Williams - 01-05-2023 Just curious if anyone has done a BAS yourpace then at a later point got their BS/BA yourpace at UMPI. I didnt know if that was allowed or not. RE: UMPI BAS to BS - ss20ts - 01-05-2023 I've completed the BLS and then went onto complete a BA at UMPI. It's not easy to be accepted into the BAS for YourPace students. Most - like myself - were put into the BLS instead. RE: UMPI BAS to BS - bjcheung77 - 03-15-2023 So, are you planning to go for the BAS or BLS and then come back for another BABA or BA in another subject? Is there a reason for this planning or educational route? RE: UMPI BAS to BS - Sylvia Yang - 03-16-2023 (01-07-2023, 04:57 AM)Mike Williams Wrote:Would you mind to share some stories? Applicants were denied admission to the BAS program and placed in the BLS program instead. You need 40 technical credits to get into the BAS, but they are very selective on what they count. I had 40+ technical credits in business administration which is one of the technical programs they list on the main website. Technically, the BAS isn't offered in YourPace so this could be why they are pushing students to the BLS instead. If you want to do the BLS and then go onto the BA, you will have to graduate and wait for your degree to confer before you can apply for the BA. You will also have to complete an additional 30 credits at UMPI for the second degree. RE: UMPI BAS to BS - natshar - 03-16-2023 I would say just focus on one degree. The BAS is difficult to get into you need an AAS and technical credits. I'd say just go for the regular BA and only one degree. A BA in Project Management would be a better boos to your resume than a BLS with a concentration in Project Management. I would try to get the BA every time. This does not include the BAS. A BAS at UMPI is, as said, difficult to get into. You probably won't be able to. But a BAS, if you were able to get permission to get one, would still (IMO) sound better on a resume than a BLS. |
