Ever have a course auto-dropped? - AllThose299s - 11-07-2022 I recently enrolled for the 2022 Nov term medical terminology TECEP to extend my enrollment status for another year so I wouldn't have to take some courses over the holidays. Today I received a refund of the credit balance in the mail. When viewing the Academic Attendance in the Student Self-Service it states that the course is dropped but I didn't drop it and I agreed to the University statement on Academic Integrity & Academic Residency Requirements form that the online student service page states will be required for registering for courses in the near future, so I at least know that shouldn't have been the reason for it auto-dropping me. Has this happened to anyone else? RE: Ever have a course auto-dropped? - carrythenothing - 11-08-2022 I had to confirm with an advisor last year that I was taking PLA-100 and PSY-363 knowing they wouldn't apply to my degree plan. I also got an email earlier this year (subject line: "Registration error") saying that "If we do not hear from you by the Friday before the first day of the term, we will drop your class(es) by 3:00 pm that day." The reason they were dropping the class (in that case, the MAR-321 TECEP) was that it did not fulfill any of my degree/certificate requirements. RE: Ever have a course auto-dropped? - AllThose299s - 11-08-2022 Hmm interesting. That makes sense, I just wish I would have gotten some sort of heads up, e.g., an email would have been nice. I guess I'll just deal with it and register for the Cornerstone. Thanks for sharing your experience that does make me feel a little bit better. |
