Sophia Intro to Nutrition - Insert Name - 10-29-2022 I know this is probably to quick, but has anyone tried transferring the new nutrition class from Sophia to TESU yet? Do we know what it transfers as? What are odds that it comes in as BIO-208, The Science of Nutrition? RE: Sophia Intro to Nutrition - dfrecore - 10-29-2022 My guess is that it will not come in as BIO-208, but as NUT-101 and will be a free elective. I've seen them do this many times, it mostly seems to have to do with what the college called it (Nutrition rather than BIO) and if the word "science" is in the title. RE: Sophia Intro to Nutrition - bjcheung77 - 10-29-2022 Finish the course, transfer it in, tell us what the course will transfer in as... I am thinking it'll come in as intended, BIO-208. Wait and we'll find out... I've seen hundreds (maybe a thousand) evals from TESU, and if it does not say "science" in the title, or have BIO as the prefix if it's from a college, it comes in as NUT-101 and is a free elective. But we shall see... RE: Sophia Intro to Nutrition - Insert Name - 10-31-2022 Thank you both. My guess is dfrecore is right, but if I get curious enough I’ll make sure to update you? RE: Sophia Intro to Nutrition - Insert Name - 11-01-2022 Email from counselor said it is NUT-101. They did say it will fit the GE Science requirement, which gives another option to push the Environmental Science class down to Liberal Studies requirement (since that class comes in as a 200), so may try the nutrition class anyway. Will let you guys know if anything changes. RE: Sophia Intro to Nutrition - bjcheung77 - 11-01-2022 Cool, it came in differently than the StraighterLine and Study.com options, so if that's the case, this will work for those who would want addition credit for overlapping course content! Or use it as another spot for gen ed arts and science courses or your free electives... Because I've not seen NUT-101 go there, it has always gone in Free electives. If it came in as your science, that would be awesome.
