adding BA in Business Administration at UMPI; help with finding classes/ best pathway - SydWill - 08-30-2022 Hello, I am a former hs teacher, looking to go back to school to get second bachelor's in business administration to pursue a new career in business administration and eventually work in college admin services. I have a degree in English, and the highest maths I took was College Level Algebra/ Pre-calc- Trig. My current cumulative gpa is about a 3.65. I am thinking about applying for UMPI's bachelor's of arts in Business Administration- with accounting focus I was wondering if anyone knew which classes I must take with UMPI? And if and where I can obtain some classes/credits through a cheaper institution? Follow this plan here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_BABA_Accounting_Degree_Plan Start with Sophia courses, then do the Study.com courses. Once you enroll with UMPI, it should take you 1-2 terms to finish your degree. Remember to have fun and enjoy the process. RE: adding BA in Business Administration at UMPI; help with finding classes/ best pathway - jsd - 08-30-2022 If you want to go into College Admin, why not skip the unrelated Biz Admin and jump to something like an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership? RE: adding BA in Business Administration at UMPI; help with finding classes/ best pathway - ss20ts - 08-31-2022 Because you have a bachelor's degree already, you're waived from the GEC and the general electives. All you have to complete are the major and concentration courses. You must complete a minimum of 30 credits at UMPI. You can take these classes on Sophia and transfer them: Accounting Macroeconomics Microeconomics - you have to take both of these for ECO207 Business Law RE: adding BA in Business Administration at UMPI; help with finding classes/ best pathway - bjcheung77 - 08-31-2022 @SydWill, can you fill us in on the reasons for the BABA-Accounting? Would the recommendation of going for a Masters acceptable for you? You can get UMPI MAOL instead, or go for the degree JSD mentioned in a post above. I'm not sure what the BABA Accounting will do if you're wanting to get into Administration Services at a college or university. Is there a specific area in Admin Services, such as the registrars office or something you're looking at? If you fill us in with this template and last post addendum, it'll give us a clearer picture! https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-New-to-DegreeForum-How-this-Area-works |
