Free Seminary (unaccredited, Florida license) - sanantone - 06-21-2022 I know that an unaccredited degree isn't exciting, but most of the unaccredited seminaries I've come across charge. At least this one is free. They offer an MA and MDiv as well as an associate's, bachelor's, and undergraduate certificates. One of their partners is the BibleProject, which offers free graduate-level courses that come with certificates of completion. Maybe they can be used to for a Liberty University portfolio assessment. https://onlinebibleinstitute.org/ RE: Free Seminary (unaccredited, Florida license) - Vle045 - 06-21-2022 It’s an interesting offering. RE: Free Seminary (unaccredited, Florida license) - TINASAM - 06-22-2022 Forge told me they weren't accepting people at the moment because they were full. RE: Free Seminary (unaccredited, Florida license) - sanantone - 06-22-2022 Forge doesn't appear to claim accreditation from unrecognized agencies. I have more respect for religious schools that don't try to confuse students by claiming to be accredited by junk agencies. JMBIS is also using lectures from BiblicalTraining.org. BiblicalTraining's lectures are used by Okanagan College in British Columbia. Okanagan used to have a charter to grant degrees; I can't tell if they still do. But, even though JMBIS claims membership in some junk accreditation organizations, they don't appear to be a diploma mill. I'm defining a diploma mill as an institution that awards degrees for little to no work. In addition to submitting completion certificates from their partners' courses, students also have to participate in the discussion boards for each lesson and write two papers for each course. The MA requires a capstone proposal. The MDiv requires completion of the capstone. RE: Free Seminary (unaccredited, Florida license) - ashkir - 06-25-2022 Schools have to start somewhere! They don't plan to ever be accredited. RE: Free Seminary (unaccredited, Florida license) - Vle045 - 06-25-2022 My curiosity makes me want to try one of these programs some day.
