Video of Airbnb Tenant Refusing to Leave. The Drama Gets Real!

Some might say they would go W* on her you know what but you don't want to get sued for harassment.

Thoughts and lessons from this?

Anyone can make a video. Doesn't mean any of this is legit. It starts off with her saying she subleased well there's the problem. A sublease is a lease! Yup, she's a tenant. If she isn't paying her rent, then yeah she can be evicted but it will take months and cost you $$$.

I know Airbnb started offering long-term stays, such as monthly.

In many states, once someone stays 30 days, they become a tenant, and then the only way to get them out is to go through the eviction process.

This lady said she rented the place, then went on vacation shortly after, so she never planned on living with a roommate. This would be a living nightmare situation for someone to go through.

This video might not be real. Let's call it a dramatization of what could happen.

Let's assume it's real.  It's likely to be no different than evicting someone from any other rental property.  It's a pain and it takes time.  If you are a landlord and you don't understand the process, the laws, etc. then you've made an expensive mistake.

IIRC, AirBNB is supposed to provide financial compensation to hosts if the guest won't leave. It's why hosts are even willing to do the long term rentals.
