Farmers/ranchers are currently battling drastically increasing operating costs with fuel, hay, grains, etc. operating costs have nearly doubled for producers in 1 year. The price per pound of live animals has not increased to the actual farmers/ranchers. Add in a severe drought in the west. This will be tragic with a lot of family and small/medium livestock operations succumbing to this economy. |
