TESU evaluation question/complaint - Amberlinjeanne - 05-22-2022 I understand TESU is not known for exemplary service from their administration or faculty. Still, after being involved with this forum and researching extensively (y’all are awesome!) for quite some time - I thought I understood the policies down Pat. I waited until I had 90 credits before paying the app fee and sending transcripts. I have 1 Columbia college transcript, DSST, CLEP, SDC & ACE. I sent them all at the same time and told admissions to please wait until they received all of them to evaluate. She confirmed this was ok. When I logged in, it says 45 credits have been applied and I have received my “second and final evaluation”. I have no control over when the transcripts are delivered and I’m honestly really annoyed they’re pulling this. I enrolled in the medical terminology TECEP but obviously still have to wait to be changed to “enrolled” status. Is there anything I can do to have them add the rest without having to wait 2-3 weeks or am I just SOL? I talked to an advisor who said that’s not his problem and the registrar won’t email me back. Seems like I’ve been passed around. Any help is appreciated. Sorry for the rant RE: TESU evaluation question/complaint - rachel83az - 05-22-2022 Sorry, but you're pretty much out of luck. This exact situation isn't uncommon around here, and TESU isn't in any sort of hurry to fix the issue. It's more money for them! I enrolled for the tecep for June - my status should change by June 10 right? RE: TESU evaluation question/complaint - rachel83az - 05-22-2022 I think it should change by the 10th, yes. RE: TESU evaluation question/complaint - dfrecore - 05-22-2022 Yeah, there is just no way to get around this problem. At one point in time, they were at a 25 business days turnaround, which meant that if you got all of your transcripts to them quickly, then you'd get all of the transcripts evaluated at the same time. Now, with the faster turnaround, they seem to do the first 2 transcripts right away, and then you're screwed. Who knew that we'd be wanting to go back to a slower turnaround time!?! RE: TESU evaluation question/complaint - LevelUP - 05-22-2022 You could have sent transcripts to TESU first. TESU will hold your transcripts for up to 1 year. So if you sent your transcripts first, then apply 30 days later, TESU should be able to evaluate all the transcripts at once. RE: TESU evaluation question/complaint - bjcheung77 - 05-22-2022 Yup, the TECEP is a viable option to get enrolled to get the benefits of unlimited evaluations and also any help you need from academic advising, plus you should have access to TESU's student benefits or perks... RE: TESU evaluation question/complaint - Amberlinjeanne - 05-23-2022 UPDATE!! The registrar just emailed me back which I believe means they will update my evaluation??! I will let you know if it actually happens! Yay! “Thank you for your email. I have sent your file for update of the CLEP & Study.com. Once updated you should receive an email. I do apologize for the confusion ! Richard Strauss” RE: TESU evaluation question/complaint - bjcheung77 - 05-23-2022 You can try checking your account info on Tuesday or Wednesday, it usually posts before they send you an email notifying you the update. I don't think this is true. Normally, when a school gets transcripts, but has nothing/no one to "attach" them to, they don't just put them on hold for a year. I've also been on here for over 10 years, and have never heard this. |
