ASU ULC MAT 210 - Brief Calculus: Calculus for Business and Economics - jsd - 05-21-2022 The wiki says ASU ULC's "Calculus for Business and Economics" course comes in to TESU as MAT-231 Calculus I. Was this just a best-guess equivalent, or do we have some confirmation of this? I'm leaning toward taking it. RE: ASU ULC MAT 210 - Brief Calculus: Calculus for Business and Economics - rachel83az - 05-21-2022 When TESU had the transfer tool on their site, Brief Calculus was listed as being the same as Calculus for Engineers. They were all MAT-231, though it's technically possible that this has changed since they removed the tool. RE: ASU ULC MAT 210 - Brief Calculus: Calculus for Business and Economics - rachel83az - 05-21-2022 I think TESU removed the tool in late 2021. I don't remember exactly when it happened. How was the course? Would you recommend it? Any tips or tricks? How was the course structure? I've heard people complain about the platform that created it, Gradius, but not sure if that's been updated in a while. RE: ASU ULC MAT 210 - Brief Calculus: Calculus for Business and Economics - jsd - 05-21-2022 Bummer, Gradius looks like a cool setup and better than ALEKS, but of course I was just reviewing essentially marketing material for it. RE: ASU ULC MAT 210 - Brief Calculus: Calculus for Business and Economics - rachel83az - 05-21-2022 Suggestion: sign up for the self-paced Calculus for Engineers. Try it for 1-2 weeks. It uses the same platform. If you like it, sign up for the Brief Calculus and pay for the upgrade. RE: ASU ULC MAT 210 - Brief Calculus: Calculus for Business and Economics - jsd - 05-21-2022 is the thinking there that i don't burn the $25 eligibility fee on Breif Calc if I don't like it? that's a good idea. |
