UMPI - Saylor - FastTrackDegree - 04-29-2022

Anyone know if these courses transfer to UMPI? Mostly interested in BUS206, BUS300 and BUS402.

ARTH101: Art Appreciation
PHIL102: Introduction to Critical Thinking and Logic
PHIL103: Moral and Political Philosophy
BUS105: Managerial Accounting
BUS205: Business Law
BUS206: Management Information Systems
BUS208: Principles of Management
BUS209: Organizational Behavior
BUS300: Operations Management
BUS402: Project Management

The only known transfer equivalencies for Saylor Academy include:
  • BUS 203: Principles of Marketing as BUS 330: Marketing Management
  • CUST 015: Customer Service as GEL 1XX: General Elective
  • SOC 101: Introduction to Sociology as SOC 100: Introduction to Sociology
That doesn't mean any of those classes will continue to be accepted as such or that other classes won't be accepted.

Guess I start with that Customer Service course then. Only 23h, sounds pretty good for 3 credits.

Sophia would require less time for more than 3 credits

What degree are you going for? Do you need a general elective? I wouldn't spend the time on Saylor for a general elective. Sophia has plenty of classes that are wicked short and 3 credits.

Most likely the BABA in Accounting (Or maybe the BA), trying to get to 150 credits. I've done most of the courses on Sophia without assignments, just prefer testing for the most part.

150 credits for a CPA license? If so be sure to check with your state if ACE credits are allowed and how many credits need to be in accounting.

My suggestion is when you're done with the 120+ credits for the BA Accounting or BABA Accounting, head over to WGU for their MS Accounting to get the remainder of the 30 credits in Accounting. See here for details and state requirements, it will give you a pretty good CPA overview: https://www.wgu.edu/online-business-degrees/accounting-masters-program/cpa-certification.html
