UMPI BLS-Management Minor - Samus477 - 04-05-2022 Hello, I am including a spreadsheet with the list of courses/credits that I hope to transfer into a UMPI YourPace Bachelor of Liberal Studies - Management Minor. I'm aware only 90 credits will be accepted as they have the 30 credit requirement that must be taken with them. I just want to make sure that this selection of courses meets their general requirements and that I'm not taking any excess Sophia courses, so once I enroll I would only need to take 10 classes with them. Thanks! RE: UMPI BLS-Management Minor - bjcheung77 - 04-05-2022 Welcome to the board! We're missing a few pieces of info within your thread, there is a sticky I would follow the template link below. You may want to provide us more details in regards to your budget, commitments, previous credits, time you have to complete the degree. Have you looked at the other Big 3 or WGU? Good luck, have fun, take your time to read through the forum/wiki pages. There's plenty of info... If you need further assistance... Please provide more details for your current situation by using this template: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-New-to-DegreeForum-How-this-Area-works RE: UMPI BLS-Management Minor - dfrecore - 04-05-2022 Since you did not put down the course numbers for your 2 Spanish courses, it's hard to say if they will be accepted or not; I would revise that. It's also unclear about your English courses; whether or not they will be counted as Composition I & II. You might want to get the syllabi for those, as UMPI may want to see those at some point. Something that shows this is the required English Comp course at that school will be helpful. I don't know if UMPI will count your OSHU-2010: Socio-Humanistic Studies as a Diverse World Views course, so if not, you'll need one of those. The Sophia courses that you haven't taken yet - I don't think you need anything except Ethics, 1 Art History, and 1 US History. For Study.com, since you are taking Bio w/Lab, and are paying for 2 courses, I would switch something out there - either American Govt, Ethics, Art History, etc. RE: UMPI BLS-Management Minor - Samus477 - 04-05-2022 (04-05-2022, 03:45 PM)dfrecore Wrote: Since you did not put down the course numbers for your 2 Spanish courses, it's hard to say if they will be accepted or not; I would revise that. The spanish course numbers are: SPAN100 & SPAN110 As for the Socio-Humanistic course, do you think it's best to just take Intro to Sociology from Sophia in case the other one doesn't meet their requirement? This will fill a GEC requirement and your Socio Humanistic course will probably be a general elective. Stats would be used in either one. RE: UMPI BLS-Management Minor - bjcheung77 - 04-06-2022 @Samus477, is this for yourself or a family member? Have you come to the conclusion that UMPI BLS is your only option? We don't know your situation such as your commitments, time dedicated to studies, etc. I assume and can only guess you've been reading and thinking UMPI is a cheap accelerated degree. I suggest taking Stats or any other Sophia.org courses to max your free electives. You may want to reference this wiki link: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_BLS_Management_Degree_Plan |
