Nowadays, there are more online gurus than ever who think they know what's best for you. I talk about how to evaluate advice before using it.

Usually, you have to give value before receiving value from someone. That value you give could be money and/or your time, and/or the skills you bring to the table.
Some mentors can hold your hand step by step and then are mentors you can check in from time to time.
Besides mentors, another idea is to find a group of people going down the same path as you.
