ACE & UMPI - ss20ts - 03-01-2022 I'm looking through the transfer database and there are some providers I haven't heard of. Some have a few interesting courses which transfer to UMPI. Year Up has ACE classes that transfer. The 2 that jumped out to me is Project Management 1 & 2. These transfer as BUS400 & BUS401. I haven't seen that from anywhere else. Lots of TEEX courses have now transferred. Almost all are COS electives and 3 that transfer for specific COS courses. Nothing UL though. There are 1 that is a UL criminal justice elective. Your PMP may transfer as BUS141 and the CAPM may transfer as BUS343. That's just ODD. StraighterLine is listed as OOSL which is weird. Business Communication comes in as BUS210 and fills GEC 1C. They have a Calc 1 class if anyone is looking for that. It comes in as MAT131 and GEC 3A, 3B. They also have a few lab sciences which will fill the lab science requirement - biology, anatomy & physiology, chem, and physics. Organization Behavior comes in as BUS335. Saylor has 2 classes on the list. Art Appreciation will come for GEC 2E. Principles of Management is a BUS100 elective. There's a few NNFA courses. They're all general 100 electives. NJAT general 100 electives. A few Microsoft office specialist courses come in as business 100 electives. Marine Corps courses came in as general 100 electives. Google IT Support Cert comes in as COS 100 elective. Google Data Analytics Cert comes in as BUS245. https://www.cdse.edu/Training/eLearning/ Some of these came in as business and general LL electives. CMSLearn is a general 100 elective. Couple of Dale Carnegie courses came in as business and general LL electives. Two religion classes from Pearson came in as anthropology 100 courses. The CCMA came in as a general 100 elective. https://www.acenet.edu/National-Guide/Pages/Organization.aspx?oid=34d33ee3-f6f7-e811-a965-000d3a363325 Several math courses from ALEKS have transferred in. The Institutes ethics class came in as a philosophy 100 elective and fills GEC 2A, B, 4C, 5D https://www.acenet.edu/National-Guide/Pages/Course.aspx?org=American+Institute+For+Chartered+Property+Casualty+Underwriters%2FThe+Institutes&cid=0161c0f6-91c4-ea11-a812-000d3a378a3a ACTFL has had Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, French transfer in so far. They've all been LL courses. The number of credits isn't listed. Kind of surprised other languages haven't transferred in yet based on comments on here that people are taking the exams for a variety of languages. Well that was an interesting review. Keep transferring in the funky unique courses! ETA: Found the AARTS Office for Army, Marines, and Sailors, too. Lots from them. Pretty much all LL general electives. RE: ACE & UMPI - ss20ts - 03-15-2022 I was looking up some courses for someone today on the transfer database and American Council on Education (ACE) is gone from the list of sources. The courses are still shown by provider but everything is not on there now like InstantCert, TEEX, Google certs, ALEKS, etc. Only the main providers such as Sophia, StraighterLine, and Study.com are listed. I wonder why they removed the ACE listing. Seems odd since they still accept ACE courses. It doesn't show any current agreements such as the partnership with StraighterLine and Study.com. It's just weird to remove a provider from the list. Especially one that had sooooooo many courses from a variety of institutions. |
