All the same I was able to have an A. Excelsior Business Strategy 495 - jacksont001 - 05-11-2008 I'll be enrolled in the July 7th class, I'll keep you updated. Excelsior Business Strategy 495 - jorai - 05-13-2008 The next Excelsior BP course starts in July and ends in Oct.!!! Is that the only option? I want to finish as soon as possible. It used to. If you were registered by Sept. '07 (I think that was the cut-off) you could take the TECEP--but after that you HAVE to take the EC class. Excelsior Business Strategy 495 - jorai - 05-15-2008 Hi, I will be also in the July class for the EC course of Business Strategy, I was hoping to finish my credits requirements by Aug., but due to this course  it seems I will not be graduating until after Oct.!!!! My question is: For the ones that have already taken this course, am I allow to finish before the end date of the course? Thanks for your help! This would help me plan, since I still have almost 2 months to start that course. J. Excelsior Business Strategy 495 - cbrchris - 09-08-2008 Any others wish to provide feedback or suggestions for this course? Excelsior Business Strategy 495 - cbrchris - 09-11-2008 Thought I would post some feedback I found on the forum within this thread. soltran Wrote:This is a capstone course and you will need to call on knowledge that you have picked up in other courses. In particular, knowledge of operations management, finance, marketing and economics is likely to be required in addition to what is covered in the text. soltran Wrote:There seems to be a heavy emphasis on participation (via the online forum environment) with 20% of the final grade coming from this participation. In other classes I have taken, guidelines have been specific such as, at least 3 posts to the message board a week to get maximum grades, but in this course all that is stated is that participation makes up 20% of the final grade. There are two discussion topics each week, one of which is a case study that requires a reasonable amount of research each week to be able to discuss intelligently. Between the two discussion topics there are about 150 messages posted each week, some of which are very lengthy and requires quite a bit of reading but plenty of opportunities to participate. |
