You might want to take some time and read through a few threads by doing a search for it... there are grads from the Big 3 and other competency based degree programs, many have successfully gone through lateral moves or upwards to management. Here's a recent post of mine and it lists a few people, you can search their threads. There are a few people also mentioned in the wiki, like ryoder who finished two TESU degrees and went onto their Masters/PhD.
