Global Private Tutoring - Alpha - 10-31-2021

I knew a woman from New Zealand and she was working in the US with some type of visa arrangement and when the visa was expiring she had to leave the US but she didn't want to go back home. She got a job teaching English in Japan.  She had no Japanese, had never been there, had never been a teacher but off she went into the world of private tutoring.  I don't know how that worked out for her but apparently the contemporary equivalent has become popular.  Have any of you ever done this sort of job?

During the early parts of this year and the entire 2020 year, I had my kids take English/Math through tutors in Australia as our local tutoring agencies were closed due to the pandemic situation.  Anyways, I think they're a viable option but I don't really want my kids using that as my son was "playing games" and daughter was watching Youtube videos on the side monitor while they were in class!

Many pros/cons to everything.  I may end up doing a "home school" type of tutoring for them to save on cash as it's expensive for local tutoring - I recently got them into Eye Level and Kumon to see how they like it, deciding to pull them out for homeschool instead, my previous post here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Eye-Level-Learning-vs-Kumon-and-or-alternatives
