Has anyone taken the Spanish course from Instacert? How effective is it? I'm thinking of taking it to meet a language requirement.

I know it is highly recommended for UMPI's foreign language requirement. I signed up but haven't had a chance to start it yet.

It's $20 for the course +$15 for proctoring, so it's probably the cheapest option for that language requirement unless you go for a CLEP in French, Germain, Spanish, you can use ModernStates, but I would only recommend the test center option vs taking it at home due to the provider they use has had some big time failures with data breaches.

I enjoyed the class. It took me about 10 hours of reading, quiz-taking, and writing. I made sure to go over things that I got wrong so that I could improve my final score.
I'd say go for it!

If you are new to Spanish I highly recommend Learn Spanish in 21 Days book:

You can read that book in like 1-2hrs and it gives you the basics of Spanish without overwelling you with deep levels of grammar.
