Comprehensive list of fastest/easiest general elective / liberal arts credits - studyingfortests - 08-27-2021 Hey, all, A friend who is working on his bachelors (likely BALS at TESU) is looking to basically knock out as many fast/easy 3 credit classes/credits as possible. He'd like ones he can finish over 2-5 days each, if possible. So far, the ones I've suggested: SDC Presentation Skills in the Workplace SDC Information Literacy CSMLearn I've heard the following suggested, but have not taken them: TEEX Death Investigations (he needs a total of 6 more, so one more course after this) TEEX Crime Scene Investigations I've heard UExcel World Populations is pretty easy (and UL) I also suggested CLEP Analyziing & Interpreting Lit, which is good for 6 credits And ACTFL Spanish and CLEP spanish Is DSST "Here's To Your Health" still a pretty easy pass? Is there a list somewhere of other quick-and-painless courses that don't require specialized knowledge (as in, no IT or other tech) ? Or suggestions of courses/tests? Thanks! RE: Comprehensive list of fastest/easiest general elective / liberal arts credits - rachel83az - 08-27-2021 For a BALS, Sophia all the way. EXCEPT for English Comp I & II, Public Speaking, and the database one. Everything else can be completed pretty quickly by a mature adult. TESU doesn't bring in any DSSTs as UL any longer so I wouldn't even bother with that hassle. For TEEX, don't take Basic Criminal Investigation. That's only 100-level and 2 credits. Take Basic Property Technician for 3 credits and 200-level. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/TEEX Most Coopersmith courses can probably be studied and passed in a week or two for more UL credit. Check https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sample_TESU_BA_Liberal_Studies_Degree_Plan for Coopersmith suggestions. RE: Comprehensive list of fastest/easiest general elective / liberal arts credits - bjcheung77 - 08-27-2021 TEEX has two very easy ones: Basic Property Technician and Fingerprint Comparison Here's a link: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/TEEX RE: Comprehensive list of fastest/easiest general elective / liberal arts credits - dfrecore - 08-28-2021 There are still 3 UL DSST exams: Principles of Public Speaking >> COM-309 Money and Banking >> ECO-322 Fundamentals of Cybersecurity >> CIS-344 All will come in under the BALS AoS, as well as others (for example, Money & Banking can be used in the BSBA GM or FIN, Cybersec can be used in the BSBA CIS) RE: Comprehensive list of fastest/easiest general elective / liberal arts credits - jsh1138 - 08-28-2021 Your fastest ones are gonna be things like Study.com and TECEPs because you can do them at home and get results that day or the next day Easiest is going to depend on your background knowledge. https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-The-official-guide-to-courses-by-Straighterline-Study-et-al-We-want-YOUR-input We have a review thread here for people who have taken various courses and you can tell pretty quick which ones are easy if you read through it |
