Looks like a nice program, but...

Quote:Each course in the program costs $9,168.

Woof. One single course costs essentially the same as the entire UT Austin or Georgia Tech programs.

I don't think the ROI on the brown name is going to be worth the 10x+ cost

And you need 12 of them. You could move the decimal and still be more for the degree than GT or UT. Talk about a program fishing for people spending other people’s money.

I'm counting eight courses. I don't know if I'm missing something.

I noticed that too and immediately lost interest.

I believe it's 8. Looks like "required courses" are listed twice though so it's confusing.

Brown is an Ivy League school. They tend to not offer many bargains.

A Brown ms should pay for itself provided you have at least 5 years of work left after you graduate.

Assuming you can earn $20k more per year with a Ivy League masters vs a masters from a lower tier school. The difference in cost being $65k. 3.5 years break even.

This is hypothetical.

While having ivy league under your name is good, I would think the ROI is still better with GA Tech or UT Austin being highly ranked for their cyber and CS programs and being under $10k(assuming no scholarships for either program).

particularly in a field like Cybersecurity where this level of education (let alone the academic pedigree) isn't anywhere near necessary to make a huge salary.
