If any of these allegations are true.....wow just wow.

Disgusting! Liberty's emergency responder discount was tempting, but I could not bring myself to become affiliated with that school. Many schools have scandals, but Liberty is thoroughly dysfunctional.

Any real cases or just CNN fake news?

Not sure about that last remark, but I did a 5-second search here and found other sources, some of which predate the CNN article by 24+ hours: https://news.google.com/search?q=liberty%20university&hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

The actual lawsuit is even viewable as a 46-page PDF here: https://www.wfxrtv.com/news/local-news/lynchburg-central-virginia-news/12-women-file-class-action-lawsuit-against-liberty-university-for-enabling-on-campus-rapes/

I'd say let the case play out as cases should and be determined based on evidence, etc. etc.

Sorry, but "Do Your Own Research," right?

The likelihood is NOT real Rapes!  Proof?

RE: Liberty University Sued - sanantone - 07-22-2021

You just have to ignore some people.

Ignore fake news?

RE: Liberty University Sued - LevelUP - 07-22-2021

The issue seems to be around this honor code that students must sign when they go to school there.

This "honor code" goes way beyond what rules/ethics for what goes on campus but tells you what to do and how to act off campus as well such as what you are allowed to do on a date or what clothes you should be wearing.

This "honor code" type thing goes on in other schools as well and students have been suspended just for "liking" a social media post which is insane.

What someone does off-campus is their business and schools that have these honor codes shouldn't be receiving federal student aid in my opinion.

The other issue is schools shouldn't really act as if they are the police.  Criminal law is criminal law and just because it happens on campus doesn't mean the school gets to play a role in the justice system.

Liberal colleges have the most Rapes....go figure?

Liberty has a police department. Those officers have the same training and same obligations.
