I think they want to help by having extra credit recommendations, but it really isn't too necessary as they are partnering with a few universities already. I guess they want the extra value they think they're providing with that extra credit recommendation, maybe even more exposure to schools as ACE has so many that are part of their network... And it seems that those credits on a transcript from an RA university would carry more weight than ACE credits so that feels a bit like a waste of time.
