The fastest one can finish is within two semesters if you complete all 10 courses required. Have a look at their pages for info, see below for links to brochure, schedule, etc: MSU MSIS Program: https://www.minotstateu.edu/business/pages/grad_programs/msis.shtml MSU Online Program fees: https://www.minotstateu.edu/online/tuition_and_fees.shtml Click the graduate tuition tab: https://www.minotstateu.edu/busoffic/pages/tuition-fees/2020-21.shtml RE: Minot State Online MSIS, ~10K USD, 1 Year - nyvrem - 03-14-2021 this is interesting. they have 'real time' online programs Quote:Real Time Online programs require some or all courses to be attended at a day and time. For more information on scheduling and options, please contact the department for more information. I guess it's good for a CS program since you can get live help if need be. RE: Minot State Online MSIS, ~10K USD, 1 Year - bjcheung77 - 03-14-2021 Yup, I saw that as well. The only thing is, it's at a Bachelors level, if that was a Masters level and I have the energy/money/time, the Computer Science would be a better option than Information Systems even though they overlap a little bit... and here are their online programs, real time or not - https://www.minotstateu.edu/online/degrees.shtml RE: Minot State Online MSIS, ~10K USD, 1 Year - nomaduser - 03-14-2021 So how much do they charge for MSIS ? RE: Minot State Online MSIS, ~10K USD, 1 Year - bjcheung77 - 03-14-2021 Hey, it's affordable... ~10K for the Masters in Info Systems - If you want to be exact, it's $9935.28 Tuition as per my previous link above: https://www.minotstateu.edu/busoffic/pages/tuition-fees/2020-21.shtml RE: Minot State Online MSIS, ~10K USD, 1 Year - rachel83az - 03-14-2021 10 courses, 3 credits each. https://www.minotstateu.edu/busoffic/pages/tuition-fees/2020-21.shtml It works out to around $12k, I think. San Jose State University also offers online Master's in Informatics for $15,000: https://ischool.sjsu.edu/ms-informatics?gclid=CjwKCAiAhbeCBhBcEiwAkv2cY8YBwM66_GTvUigMhr8lYTTNlBlYINV4Jzohj6So3DnIetlESjZiGxoCSX4QAvD_BwE SJSU ranks among top feeders schools in Silicon Valley https://www.collegetransitions.com/dataverse/top-feeders-tech Top Feeder Rankings (by total employed) #13 San Jose State University 1,784 Apple Adobe RE: Minot State Online MSIS, ~10K USD, 1 Year - bjcheung77 - 03-14-2021 rachel83az Wrote:10 courses, 3 credits each. https://www.minotstateu.edu/busoffic/pages/tuition-fees/2020-21.shtml If you're calculating by credits only, yes. That's how much it will be. But if you read the link you posted. Someone taking 12-18 credits pay the same price, take two 15 credits and you'll come to the price I wrote. It's under ~10K or if you want to be exact, it's $9935.28 , it's an alright price for a state/public university. The program at SJSU seems pretty good after a quick skim through. Both of the schools are state/public ones, but they target different demographics. I'll look into the courses and subject matter that's being taught and decide which ones would be better... I'm still favoring Computer Science vs Info Systems but thought this would be something interesting to be shared. |
